The following highlight the milestones and development of IFNGO

1987

ICDAIT​

United Nations International Conference on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (ICDAIT). Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Prime Minister of Malaysia was elected Chairman of The ICDAIT Conference.

1990

First IFNGO-ASEAN NGOs Workshop in Kuala Lumpur.

The main objective of having the IFNGO ASEAN NGOs Workshop is to discuss and to study in-depth the feasibility of implementing the recommendations of the Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Outlines for Drug Control (C.M.0) and also focus on problems of drugs and substance abuse specifically within the ASEAN region.

1991

Establishment of IFNGO Foundation

In 1991, when The Honourable Dato Megat Junid bin Megat Ayob, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Malaysia concurrently President of PEMADAM Malaysia and President of IFNGO, IFNGO incorporated the IFNGO FOUNDATION as a company limited by guar­antee and without a share capital.

Publication of IFNGO Policy Statement Funded by ADCA, Australia

REFORM

Reform the objective n amendment of the old constitution











1988

ECOSOC​

1988 IFNGO accorded – U.N ECOSOC Special Consultative Status













1991

A.S.O.D​

1991 IFNGO Official Working Relations with ASEAN and A.S.O.D





1993

Inauguration of IFNGO Malaysia Trust Fund

IFNGO FOUNDATION in compliance with the Malaysian Income Tax Authorities also set up the IFNGO Malaysian Trust Fund.






2007

IFNGO World Conference

2007 IFNGO International Conference became known as IFNGO World Conference
